We make every effort to help those with physical challenges.
Small trucks or vans can pull right up to the blueberry
bushes which allows you to pick right from the passenger
or driver side window. With some advanced notice we
can make available a golf cart that can drive in between
blueberry bushes for picking. We will even be happy
to drive you around!

arrange accommodations, please call

What
you need to know about picking:
- We
currently operate with via cash or check payments
only.
-
When
you arrive at the white barn go in thru the double
doors on the left side. Wash your hands! Get a bungee
cord that best fits around your waist and hook a
bucket on the handles. Place a blue liner in your
bucket, this leaves both hands free for picking.
Take your vehicle a short trip down to the bushes.
When you are finished, head back to the barn, take
your liners with blueberries, please leave the bucket
and bungee cords for the next person.
- We
can accommodate large groups, with advanced notice.
- We
can also provide special picking experiences for groups
of children and older kids.
Hints:
- To
freeze blueberries, NEVER WASH THEM. Simple pour them
in a zip bag and place in freezer.
- Eat
as much as you like while you are picking, but remember,
what goes in…well you know the rest.
- Be
sure to pick up recipe brochures in the barn.
- Momma’s:
Let your babies run and get dirty. Let them climb
and jump and play in the rocks. Encourage them to
look for bugs and roll in the grass and laugh out
loud. Just make sure to warn them that snakes sometimes
like to hang around the water ponds.
- Dress
for the occasion! Leave your sandals for the beach,
pull out your hiking boots or at least sneakers to
get to the bushes least picked.
- Wear
HATS &
SUNSCREEN.
- Bring
water. Coolers and lunch baskets are encouraged. Pearl
River County is a "dry" county (that means
no alcohol). No B-B-Q pits allowed, it would be too
hot anyway!
- Leave
your pets at home, please. Ticks love them just as
much as you do, our associates will not be happy to
see them, and the USDA could close down that field
for the season if they find a gift your pet left behind.
- No
smoking outside of your vehicle and please, never
ever throw butts on ground! They cause fires and contain
chemicals that could cause us to loose our organic
license for 3 years.
- Best
picking times are early morning and late afternoon.
Temperatures can get to over 100 degrees from 12:00PM
- 3PM.
- If
you hear thunder, quickly go directly to your vehicles
or the nearest shelter. If you need to understand
the importance of this request, then we will be happy
to point out all of the trees mother nature has fried
in the past couple of years.
- Organic
also means no poison or pesticides are used to control
ants. We love our ants, they are a vital part of our
eco-system. Please be careful.
- Watch
for rabbit holes, hog ruts and natural water drainage
channels that cause the ground to be naturally uneven.
- Leave
your bucket liners open so the berries do not get
hot. If you plan to pick several gallons of berries,
bring a container, like a laundry basket, to place
open liners in so they don’t roll all over your
car.
-
Have fun and ask if you have any questions!
